Tan Duracell - Tungsten
After great success with the pattern in both Wyoming and Montana, we wanted to bring our favorite duracell variation into the shop. Mix up the typical brown and black nymphs with this creamy variation. Extra movement with the CDC can sometimes be the difference with picky trout.
The Tan Duracell Tungsten is a buggy, fast sinking nymph with a natural color profile that works across a wide range of trout water. Its tungsten bead helps it get down quickly, while the tan body gives it a softer, more natural look than brighter attractor patterns.
This fly can suggest caddis, mayfly nymphs, small stoneflies, or general aquatic insects depending on the water and season. It is useful in freestones, tailwaters, riffles, seams, and pocket water where trout are feeding below the surface but still want a believable profile.
Fish it as a point fly, under an indicator, or in a Euro nymphing rig. It is a strong choice when you want a durable searching nymph that gets deep without looking overly flashy.
