Guide's Choice Wet Fly

The Guide’s Choice Wet Fly imitates an emerging caddis, soft-hackle mayfly, drowned insect, or general buggy meal drifting just below the surface. It is the kind of fly that looks alive without needing a lot of explanation, which is usually how trout prefer their snacks.

Fish it during caddis activity, mayfly emergence, soft rises, riffle fishing, or anytime trout are feeding just under the surface instead of fully committing to dry flies. It is especially useful in seams, riffles, tailouts, and soft edges where bugs are drifting, rising, or getting pulled under.

Swing it across current, dead drift it through feeding lanes, or give it a slight lift at the end of the drift. That lift can imitate an emerging insect rising toward the surface, which often turns a following trout into an eating trout. Tiny movement, big consequences.
