What does the Flashback Callibaetis - Tungsten imitate?

The Flashback Callibaetis - Tungsten imitates a Callibaetis mayfly nymph, a key stillwater bug that trout love in lakes, ponds, and slow water. The slim nymph profile matches the natural, while the flashback adds a little shine that suggests an emerging wing case or a small swimming insect catching light.

When should I fish a Flashback Callibaetis - Tungsten?

Fish it in lakes, ponds, reservoirs, spring creeks, and slow edges where Callibaetis mayflies are present. It is especially useful before and during a Callibaetis hatch, when trout are cruising weed beds, shoals, and drop-offs picking off nymphs before they reach the surface.

Why does this fly have a tungsten bead?

The tungsten bead helps the fly sink quickly and stay in the feeding zone. That matters when trout are cruising just above weeds or holding deeper along a drop-off. It gets the fly down without needing a pile of extra weight that makes your rig cast like wet laundry.

How should I fish the Flashback Callibaetis - Tungsten?

In stillwater, count it down near weed tops or drop-offs, then retrieve it with slow strips, hand-twist retrieves, or short pauses. In moving water, dead drift it through soft seams and slower runs. Callibaetis nymphs can swim, so a little movement can help sell the deal.

What makes the Flashback Callibaetis - Tungsten worth carrying?

It combines a proven stillwater mayfly profile with quick-sinking tungsten and a subtle flash trigger. That makes it a strong choice when trout are feeding below the surface but not chasing streamers. It is small, buggy, bright enough to get noticed, and polite enough not to scare the picky fish.
