Amazing how the flashback wing case can trigger some the bites. Sometimes fish will eat anything and other times its the small subtleties that give the most success. We prefer this pattern in size 14.

What is the Rubber Leg Frenchie - Tungsten?

The Rubber Leg Frenchie - Tungsten is a weighted Frenchie-style nymph with added rubber legs for movement. It combines the proven pheasant-tail/Frenchie profile with a tungsten bead so it sinks quickly and fishes well near the bottom.

What does the Rubber Leg Frenchie - Tungsten imitate?

It imitates mayfly nymphs and other small aquatic insects, while the rubber legs add extra life and attraction. It is a good crossover pattern when you want something more active than a standard Frenchie but smaller than a stonefly nymph.

When should I fish the Rubber Leg Frenchie - Tungsten?

Fish it in riffles, pocket water, seams, runs, and faster current where trout are feeding subsurface. It is especially useful when fish want a compact nymph with a little flash and movement. Redd’s notes that the flashback wing case can help trigger bites when small details matter

How should I fish the Rubber Leg Frenchie - Tungsten?

Fish it under an indicator, on a tight-line/Euro nymphing rig, or as the anchor fly in a two-nymph setup. Let the tungsten bead get it down quickly, then keep a natural drift through the strike zone.

Why does the Rubber Leg Frenchie - Tungsten work so well?

It has the slim, reliable profile of a Frenchie, the fast sink rate of tungsten, a flashback trigger, and subtle rubber-leg movement. That mix makes it a strong searching nymph when trout are eating small bugs but need a little extra reason to commit.
