Cast across and slightly downstream, mend upstream, and let it travel through the run on a tight line. Short strips with pauses are another option when covering individual pockets.

Do I need to strip it hard to get movement?

Start with a slow swing or short pulls. Let the current work on the zonker profile between movements. If fish respond without taking it, change the pace before assuming you need a different fly.

Can I fish it on a floating line?

Yes, especially in shallower runs. Give it time to settle before the swing. In a deep or fast run, a sinking leader or sink-tip can help put it closer to the fish. Choose the line for the water you are covering.

How is it different from the Fire Brownie?

The Sculp Snack is a natural-and-olive zonker-style fly on a size 6 hook. The Fire Brownie is an articulated brown trout pattern, approximately 3 inches long, on a size 2 hook. Pick the Sculp Snack when you want the more compact streamer option.

Specs

Hook: Gamakatsu Octopus hook

Hook size: 6

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0757/3425/3809/files/A84C14F8-9844-4428-8621-B451FE155DF8_1_201_a.jpg?v=1792959006
